The Integration Practice for Receiving, Worthiness and Deserving

There’s a phase of receiving, worthiness, and deserving work that comes after the initial layers have been addressed — after the deserving narrative has been examined, the somatic pattern has been contacted, the shadow has been met. This phase is integration: the consolidation of what has shifted into durable, automatic change.

Integration is what prevents the pattern from reasserting itself when the active work pauses. Without it, the movement produced in sessions and practices doesn’t fully transfer to the automatic layer — the changes require ongoing maintenance rather than becoming the new default.

What Integration Looks Like

The full landscape of receiving and worthiness describes movement at each of the active layers. Integration is the process by which the movement at each layer becomes consolidated and self-sustaining rather than requiring active attention.

The markers of integration are specific:

At the Narrative layer: The deserving narrative is no longer self-evident. When it arises, it’s recognisable as a story with an origin — not a fact. The alternative perspective is available without effortful recall.

At the Somatic layer: The body’s response at financial exchange moments is less intense. The activation still registers — the somatic layer doesn’t go silent — but its quality has shifted from emergency activation to simple alertness. The practitioner can stay present during the exchange without the felt sense driving the behaviour.

At the Identity layer: The new income level begins to feel like what this practitioner’s financial life looks like, rather than an exceptional period. When a high-income month arrives, the response is normalisation rather than the pull toward reduction.

At the Behavioural layer: The deflection impulse is catchable before completing in a significantly higher proportion of exchanges. Not perfect — the impulse still arises — but the gap between impulse and action has widened enough that different choices are consistently possible.

The Integration Practice

What each layer requires for integration varies by layer. The integration practice addresses all four active layers sequentially.

Weekly consolidation review (15 minutes)

Once per week — separate from the daily practice — run the integration review.

Review the week’s financial exchanges. Not the totals — the quality. Which exchanges completed cleanly? Where did the deflection impulse arise and what happened? Was the rate held, modified, or pre-emptively discounted?

For each exchange that completed cleanly: name it, stay with it for 30 seconds, and acknowledge it explicitly. “The rate was stated and held. The client said yes without negotiation. The invoice was sent at the intended amount.” Clean completions are the identity layer’s evidence. Acknowledging them explicitly supports the revision of the identity’s definition of what’s normal.

For each exchange where the deflection completed: examine what happened at the Narrative and Somatic layers. What story was running? What did the body do before the accommodation? This identifies what’s still active for the next cycle of work.

The automatic awareness marker

Assessing what has shifted and what remains requires a specific observation: what the practitioner notices before the deflection rather than after it.

Early in the work, the deflection is noticed after it completes — the discount was offered before there was awareness of the impulse. As integration progresses, the impulse is noticed before it completes. As integration deepens further, the impulse is noticed as it arises — before it has momentum.

The practitioner can track their own integration by where in the sequence awareness arrives. This is a more accurate integration marker than income level alone, because behavioural changes precede financial outcome changes by several months.

The monthly integration review

Integration Week in the GPS+I cycle is the formal structure for monthly integration. The questions for the monthly review:

  • What’s different in the automatic layer this month compared to last month?
  • Which component of the pattern — deserving, worthiness felt sense, receiving deflection — has moved most? Which is most active?
  • What does the next cycle of work target, based on what remains most active?

The monthly integration review closes one cycle and opens the next. The three-component framework identifies the three components — each cycle addresses the most active remaining component, and each integration review clarifies what that is.

When Integration Is Complete

Integration in this territory is not a single endpoint. The pattern reduces cycle by cycle, with each pass through the work producing movement at the most active remaining layer. “Complete” means the pattern is no longer the primary obstacle — not that no activation ever occurs.

The practical markers: a sustained income level at the new threshold (3+ consecutive months without producing conditions that reduce it); exchanges completing cleanly at the intended rate without deliberate effort; the somatic activation at exchange moments is mild enough to stay present with without the deflection completing.

When these markers are present, the integration is sufficient for the pattern to be in the background rather than the foreground of the practitioner’s experience. New cycles of deeper work remain available — there are always layers that can be further refined — but the pattern no longer functions as the primary ceiling on financial expansion.

The integration practice is what moves a pattern from “understood and being worked on” to “changed at the automatic level.” Without the consolidation work, insights accumulate without fully transferring to the layer where the pattern actually lives.
