The Real Reason Magnetic Marketing Energy-Based Feels So Personal
People who encounter genuinely magnetic showing up often describe it the same way: it felt like it was written for them specifically. Like the practitioner somehow knew what they were carrying. Like the content was addressing their actual situation rather than a general category that included their situation somewhere within it.
This quality — the feeling of being specifically addressed — is what makes magnetic presence feel personal. Understanding where it actually comes from changes how practitioners build it.
The Psychological Dimension of Magnetic Presence
The psychological dimension of magnetic presence is the dimension that most practitioners underinvest in. Not the logical dimension — what is actually true about the potential client’s situation, what the transformation actually involves, what the relationship actually produces. The psychological dimension is the experiential one: how does it feel to be in this situation? What is the inner quality of carrying this particular challenge? What does a person experience, not just think or believe, when they’re where this potential client is?
The logical dimension is where most magnetic showing up lives. The content addresses what’s true, what’s possible, what the practitioner offers, what clients experience on the other side. All of that is real and necessary. But a potential client who is in a difficult situation isn’t primarily having a logical experience of it. They’re having a psychological and emotional one — and the content that speaks to that psychological experience before it speaks to the logical reality is the content that feels personal.
This is why technically excellent content can fail to feel magnetic. It’s addressing the right territory logically — the same challenges, the same situation, the same transformation — but it isn’t addressing the psychological experience of being in that territory. The potential client who encounters it sees that it’s relevant. They don’t feel that it understands them.
Building the Psychological Dimension Into Magnetic Practice
Building the psychological dimension into magnetic practice requires the practitioner to develop genuine knowledge of what the potential client’s experience actually is — not just what their situation is, but how it feels to be in it.
This is knowledge that can’t be synthesized from general principles. It comes from genuine attention to how people describe their experience — the specific language they use, the specific metaphors that arise, the specific emotional textures they describe when they talk about what it’s like to carry this challenge. The practitioner who has genuinely listened to how people describe their experience in this territory has access to the psychological dimension. The practitioner who has only thought about what’s true about this situation logically doesn’t.
The showing up that addresses the psychological dimension before the logical one creates the feeling of being understood rather than the feeling of being analyzed. That distinction is what makes magnetic presence feel personal.
What Psychologically-Attuned Magnetic Showing Up Looks Like
What psychologically-attuned magnetic showing up looks like is content that opens by acknowledging the felt experience of the situation before addressing its logical dimensions. Not in a manipulative way — as a genuine recognition of what it’s actually like to be where the potential client is. The practitioner who opens with the felt experience first is saying, implicitly: I know what this is like from the inside, not just from the outside. That implicit communication is what creates the feeling of being personally addressed.
The somatic dimension of the psychological approach is that the body carries the psychological experience before the mind has processed it — and showing up that acknowledges the somatic dimension of the challenge reaches people at a level that purely cognitive content doesn’t. The practitioner who knows that their potential clients’ challenge is experienced as a particular quality of tension, or heaviness, or fragmentation, and who speaks to that quality specifically, is reaching the person at the level where the experience actually lives.
A practice for developing psychological attunement in magnetic presence develops the practitioner’s capacity to attend to the experiential rather than just the logical dimension of their potential clients’ situations. This means listening differently in conversations — attending not just to what people say about their situation but to how they describe the feeling of being in it. What language do they reach for? What metaphors arise? What is the emotional texture of their description? These are the raw materials for the psychological dimension of magnetic presence.
The reason magnetic marketing feels personal is that it addresses how it feels to be in a situation, not just what the situation is. The logical and psychological dimensions together is what creates the sense of being genuinely understood.
