Rewiring Your Nervous System Around The Spirituality-Money Tension
You’ve done the reading. You’ve worked with the concepts. You know the terrain of a.4: the spirituality–money tension from the inside.
This is about a specific technique — the The CLARITI Identity Sequence — applied to this territory. Not theory. A step-by-step process for working with what’s actually in the way.
A note before starting: if this territory feels activating, you may want to read this in pieces rather than all at once. Some readers find it useful to have support available — a trusted person, a professional, a community — when doing this kind of work.
What This Technique Is For
The The CLARITI Identity Sequence is designed for a specific moment: when you understand a.4: the spirituality–money tension clearly, when you’ve done significant work with it, and when something still isn’t shifting the way you’d expect.
That gap — between knowing and living, between intellectual clarity and embodied change — is exactly what this technique addresses.
It works at the intersection of three layers: the cognitive (what you believe), the somatic (what the body holds), and the relational (how patterns formed in connection and shift in connection). Most techniques for a.4: the spirituality–money tension address only one or two of these. This one works with all three.
The the income ceiling that matches your identity provides useful context for why that multi-layer approach matters.
Step 1 — Locate the Pattern in the Body
Before doing any cognitive work, start with the body.
Bring to mind a specific situation where a.4: the spirituality–money tension showed up recently. Not the general concept — a specific moment. Maybe it was sending an invoice. Maybe it was being offered something good. Maybe it was a moment when money arrived and something tightened rather than opened.
Hold that specific memory and notice: where does the body respond? What sensation is present? Tightening, bracing, withdrawal, heaviness? Or something else entirely?
You’re not trying to change anything yet. You’re locating the pattern at the layer where it actually lives.
Take as long as you need with this step. Some people find this activating. If so, pause, breathe, and return to your environment before continuing.
Step 2 — Identify the Original Logic
Every persistent pattern had a logic when it formed. It was protecting something.
With the sensation still somewhat in awareness, ask: “What was this protecting me from?”
Don’t force an answer. Let the body respond rather than the mind.
Common answers in the territory of a.4: the spirituality–money tension include: being seen as greedy, standing out in a way that felt dangerous, the social cost of being perceived as successful, having and then losing, or the experience of receiving that had strings attached.
The why spiritual people struggle with money often traces back to one of these original logics. Naming it — not analyzing it, naming it — begins to change the relationship to the pattern.
Step 3 — Offer the Nervous System a New Experience
This is where the technique becomes active.
Still in contact with the body sensation, consciously offer a new experience to the nervous system. This isn’t an affirmation — it’s a practice.
What would it feel like if, in this specific situation, the outcome were different? Not “it should feel different” — what would the body actually feel if the pattern softened here?
Let the body respond to the image or scenario, not just the mind. Even a small degree of expansion or softening is information. The nervous system is beginning to register that a different response is possible.
The the scarcity operating system explained describes this process in more depth.
Step 4 — The Integration Anchor
The final step creates a bridge between the practice and ordinary life.
Identify one concrete, small action in your actual situation with a.4: the spirituality–money tension that would be slightly different from the pattern. Not dramatically different — the nervous system needs small steps, not leaps.
Maybe it’s leaving a proposal amount unchanged instead of discounting before it’s asked. Maybe it’s receiving a compliment without immediately deflecting. Maybe it’s checking your account with curiosity rather than bracing.
Write it down. Do it before the next activation of the pattern if possible. Notice what happens in the body when you do.
The CLARITI framework for identity shifts and the the 6-layer block model offer additional practices that complement this technique.
What to Expect
Change at the level this technique works at happens in layers, not in a single session. The first time you do it, you’re primarily mapping — identifying where the pattern lives and what it’s protecting.
Over time, with repetition, the nervous system begins to register new possibilities. The ceiling becomes less solid. The pattern loosens. Not because you forced it, but because you offered something different at the layer where it actually lives.
If this resonated and you want to go deeper — not with more information, but with integration — the Abundance GPS Skool community is where conscious entrepreneurs who’ve done the inner work come to finally close the gap. Come find us there.
