Do you wish to learn about reincarnation? In this article, I will do my very best to give you a high-level overview.
I will also explain the following lessons and their significance to our past lives:
- The purpose behind reincarnation
- How rebirth was mentioned in the bible
- The small and big picture of your existence
Ready to embark on this journey? Let’s begin!
What Is The Cycle Of Reincarnation?
Reincarnation involves birth and death cycles that are essential for the perfect awareness of the soul, as well as resolving blockages, disowned selves, and repeated undesired events. Any advancement or blocks an individual has had in their past lives will be regained in the new ones.
The History Of Reincarnation
The idea that souls reincarnate is well-established across the planet.
Today, Christianity and Islam are the only religions that do not openly support this idea.
But if you look at the history of where this support fell off, you find that it was officially in 533 AD for the Roman Catholic Church (when the Roman council at Constantinople declared it unholy and changed most of the bible to remove references to it).
Before the 1850s, they, especially the Jewish teachings, actively upheld this teaching that individuals can come back as people.
The original texts still have references of “humans coming back as different persons” (e.g. John the Baptist who, according to Jesus’ words in the Bible in Matthew 11:14, was Elias reincarnated):
- New American Standard Bible (NASB): And if you are willing to accept it, John himself is Elijah who was to come.
- New International Version (NIV) : And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come.
- English Standard Version (ESV): and if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come.
- King James Version (KJV): And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.
- New Living Translation (NLT): And if you are willing to accept what I say, he is Elijah, the one the prophets said would come.
- Christian Standard Bible (CSB): And if you’re willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who is to come.
For thousands of years, many other spiritual paths have seen the truth in reincarnation including:
- Many indigenous societies
- And so on
Why Are We Reborn Multiple Times?
Now that we’ve established that reincarnation has long existed, you may be thinking about why this happens in the first place.
Here’s the reason behind it:
Your soul incarnates, goes through its lessons, sheds that body, does it again, out of its own choice by the way, until it is done.
With each incarnation, it moves closer to its goal of being in perfect awareness of itself while still in physical form (the earth plane is one where we can experience things like in no other plane, because earth has a very detailed system of relativity, duality, polarity and free will).
That is what evolution over the last thousands of years has been all about – growing awareness, grounding spirit into matter in ever-increasing consciousness of that spirit.
You can now begin to see how reincarnation happens in a very reasonable and explainable manner.
Any incomplete lessons, experiences, and false beliefs that were not corrected in a previous lifetime are reconstructed in this lifetime so that they may be completed.
Moreover, any advancement that was built in previous lifetimes is also downloaded to the new incarnation for its enjoyment and use.
How Does The Process Of Reincarnation Happen?
Let’s talk about how our rebirth comes about.
I want you to think of it this way:
You have one body made up of billions of little cells.
Each cell is a complete organism that can live outside of you in a laboratory.
It does not need you to exist if it could find an alternative source of nutrition and environment.
As kids say in their biology class, “You are made up of many little animals.“
Each of those cells has its own life force.
And if you examine just one, again you find that it is made up of many tiny organisms with their own independence as well (such as molecules).
If you look at these molecules you see that they are also made up of more independent separate lives (atoms).
Atoms, in return, are made up of intelligent energy.
Moreover, it does not stop there (although that is how far our current science is able to actually detect life forms).
It goes on into infinity.
Now, reverse the direction.
You know that you are an individual with billions of smaller life forms living and dying within you.
Consider that just as that is true, the reverse is also correct.
You are a human within a bigger soul, an oversoul.
It carries, say, 12 souls just like yours all incarnated on earth.
Additionally, it is a part of a larger soul that carries many oversouls to make the one.
This goes upwards as well.
So, just as your one soul and body in a lifetime requires many billions of cells to be born and die within it every single day, so does your oversoul.
It also needs many within it to go through birth and death cycles.
Yet, there are other bigger ones beyond even with the larger oversoul, and so on.
3 Best Perks Of Having Past Lives
You’ve now seen the smaller and larger picture of your existence.
Let’s go over the benefits that reincarnation brings.
But first, have you ever wondered about the following questions:
Why does a particular type of life situation keep revisiting a person?
Why is it that some people keep experiencing a certain illness?
What’s the reason that someone cycles through success and failure, as if they’re being sabotaged?
Moreover, why can’t certain individuals seem to find a partner who treats them well?
The answer is simple:
- Mission: The spirit always seeks to grow, bloom, and fulfill its mission.
- Authentic Expression: The energy system always seeks to be accepted and to express its truth as well as be experienced fully and authentically.
- Blockages: When there are blocks to the growth of the spirit, life, and to the expression of emotions, these must be cleared.
What ends up happening is that for you to fully recover, the spirit pushes these blocks to the surface, in this lifetime upto the next until it is resolved.
This is done for your awareness, acceptance, and healing.
I’ll expound on this comprehensively in the sections that follow.
#1 Healing energy blockages
I’ve discussed this subject in-depth in my article Everything You Need To Know About Healing Energy Blockages.
If you want to learn more details on this topic, check it out.
I’ll explain this briefly in this post.
Energy blockages include things such as:
- Hidden selves
- Thought patterns
- Unresolved issues
- Disowned archetypes
- Wounded inner children
Here’s the thing:
The more you try to ignore them, the more your spirit tries to remind you.
So, how can you spot them?
At first, they appear as nagging thoughts.
For most people, these tend to be ignored.
However, if you do not resolve them, they manifest as a disease or a life situation that will force you to face it.
And if you continue to avoid this, it’ll keep coming back.
With each return, it will become more difficult.
It is only until you resolve them in this lifetime or the next that it’ll finally stop.
#2 Integrating hidden selves
Your soul must always get to the bottom line of all experiences by merging them with its perfect nature.
No part of it can be allowed to forever remain disowned.
If you forever deny the hidden selves that you carry around, they will stay with you.
This is because life is eternal.
What you put in place remains there unless you change it.
As such, hate becomes forever once you create it.
The only way to get rid of it is to embrace it.
By doing, so you see the divine within it, as within all life.
Nothing can exist outside of it because it is the source of all that is.
And, you are made in the image and likeness of life.
By denying any part of it, you deny and disempower yourself.
Moreover, this is how karma is formed, through:
- Incomplete lessons
Indeed, some of your shadow selves and fears are from a past life.
But, they can be healed in this lifetime just as easily..
#3 Breaking the cycle of undesired events
Whenever you go through an experience, you formulate a thought and then an emotion.
Here is when it gets tricky.
If the lesson and purpose has been fully uncovered, then whatever it is you’ve experienced will not be repeated.
This can only be achieved by handling your emotions properly.
This is how you can do it successfully:
First of all, you need to allow it to run its course.
Let it then be fully experienced to its end in full awareness.
However, if you deny and suppress what you feel, this is what happens instead:
- The Shadow Self Is Formed: It is stored within as a shadow personality.
- Cyclic Repetitions Of Undesirable Events: It will also keep trying to be heard and expressed.
This is what causes you to say, “Why does this always keep happening to me?”
And so, you need to finally face and heal the disowned emotion.
Upon doing so, you will discover the powerful lesson that was always there but was not completed.
The transformation will be immense, liberating, and empowering
