Practice Radical Acceptance

Radical acceptance is also called unconditional love, or the art of allowing.

As the Buddha said, “Pain in life is inevitable but suffering is not. Pain is what the world does to you, suffering is what you do to yourself. Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.” All suffering arises from resisting the moment. Resisting the moment limits us in a million ways, in addition to creating suffering.

The opposite of resistance is acceptance. Radical Acceptance is the key to everything else working well for you, as it allows you to come to terms with the fact that life throws challenges at us and pain is part of life. But suffering is not. Suffering is 100% optional and unnecessary. Suffering is mental/emotional. Humans create suffering by resisting the moment. We create far more suffering than life creates pain. Because what we resist persists.
