In 2008, a new technology was quietly introduced, a technology that has the ability to create societies of the future. Society 3.0.
Society 3.0 is a societal model, powered by new, low-cost technology that is available to everyone everywhere, that solves many of our current problems in these areas:
Let me explain.
Today, we live in Society 2.0 (or 2.x). Our societies are:
1. Hierarchical – social systems in which members of society are ranked in a pyramid structure. The top of the pyramid rules the lower ranks. Think about it: money, politics, law, energy (fuel), and resource production are all hierarchical in our society, right?
2. Centralized – social systems in which a central authority controls or makes things. Central authorities are at the top of the hierarchical pyramids. Think about it, we have central banks to issue currency, parliament/senate/president to govern the country, supreme courts to settle disputes, oil refineries and utilities companies to provide energy, multi-national corporations for food production, pharmaceuticals, and so on… We live in a centralized society.
That is Society 2.0: Hierarchical and Centralized.
Society 1.0 is what we had before industrialization and agriculture.
Humans lived in groups. The group may have had a leader or a council of elders, but there was no concept of regional, national or global hierarchies or centralized control.
Society 1.0 was Decentralized (minimal central authorities or producers) and Autonomous (having the freedom to govern itself or control its own affairs, act independently, and produce its own resources etc).
Society 1.0 became Society 2.0 with the invention of agriculture, industry and banking.
To take advantage of the benefits of agriculture and industry, society had to centralise and create hierarchies. It gave up freedom in exchange for security and progress.
And that was good for a while. We had to do that, at that time, at that stage of our evolution.
It served a purpose.
However, Society 2.0 also has its limitations and disadvantages, as we all know.
I mean, look around you; we live in a controlled matrix where most people live a somewhat “A4” lifestyle, a “template” lifestyle, and it all revolves around “jobs and money, survival”, and it is all controlled and determined by an elite minority.
Again, that was necessary at the time.
But society is capable of much more than that. Much more.
It is capable of transcending survival.
This vast universe was not all built, in all its amazing splendour and magnitude, just so that the majority of humans must wake up at 6am, brush teeth, commute to job, earn currency, commute back at 6pm, have dinner, sleep, repeat till death – for survival.
A much more dynamic, richer, diversified, deeper life experience for all mankind, everywhere, is possible.
However, this was not possible before 2008.
And now it is.
It is now possible because of the invention of a technology called the blockchain.
Society 3.0 means going back to Decentralised and Autonomous societies, while keeping and improving on all the advantages of the modern world, and eliminating many of it’s problems.
You see, in the past, we needed government to provide the trust framework that guaranteed currencies, laws, politics, energy/fuels, and production.
But with the invention of the blockchain, we no longer need government to provide the trust framework itself.
The blockchain provides even better trust than the government ever can, and it is corruption free, bureaucracy-free.
Of course, we still need some government for certain things, definitely. We are not advocating for anarchy here.
What we are saying is that we can shrink its size, make it lean, light and nimble, and honest. Transfer most of the powers back to the people, using the blockchain technology.
Government is still needed for some things, but not any more for trust.
The blockchain technology provides a quantum leap in trust and efficiency, compared to what government bureaucracy and politicians can ever, ever offer.
Shifting trust functions away from politicians and government and into the hands of the citizens, and securing it with the blockchain to ensure integrity and trust, makes government smaller, faster, responsive to the people’s wishes, honest, and so on.
The same can be said for money supply, banking, energy, and production and distribution of goods – all can be shifted to the people using the blockchain and other new technologies.
The Blockchain & Energy Technology Will Do To Society And Government What The Internet Did To Communication, Or What The Airplane Did To Transportation – A Quantum Leap
You see, up to this day, society, government, politics, law, monetary supply, production and energy have been analog.
The blockchain and other technologies makes them digital.
Society 2.0 = analog.
Society 3.0 = digital.
And by digital, we mean that the item itself is digital. For example, the US dollar is analog, but Bitcoin is digital. Oil is analog, but Electricity, Solar and Zero Point Energy is digital. Politicians are analog, while blockchain-powered real-time referendums are digital.
Putting an analog item on a computer record does not make it digital – it simply makes it an analog item recorded on computer. For example, when you record US dollar transactions on a computer, that doesn’t make the dollar digital. The transaction is digital, but the dollar currency itself remains analog. When you use Bitcoin, the transaction and the currency are all digital.
The items itself is digital.
Which means politics at the speed of computing, in the hands of the masses and not just the authorities.
Law at the speed of computing, in the hands of the masses and not just the authorities.
Freedom at the speed of computing, in the hands of the masses and not just the authorities.
Communication and cohesion at the speed of computing, in the hands of the masses and not just the authorities.
Trust, integrity and honesty at the speed of computing, in the hands of the masses and not just the authorities.
Business at the speed of computing, in the hands of the masses and not just the authorities.
Production and distribution of goods at the speed of computing, in the hands of the masses and not just the authorities.
That’s the secret to its transformational value.
Centralisation is inefficient, bureaucratic and concentrates power in the hands of a few elite. Yet, it was necessary in an analog society to provide trust and cohesion in the system.
But centralization is not necessary in a digital society where technology provides better and faster trust and cohesion.
Decentralization is once again possible.
How We Can Use Decentralised Communication, Decentralized Law & Politics, Decentralized Production, Decentralized Energy & Decentralised Finance To Create The Truly Free & Abundant Societies Of The Future
The four pillars of a Decentralized Society are:
Decentralized Communication (Freedom of Thought, Speech and Action)
1. Choice of Law
2. Choice of Adjudicator
3. Choice of Enforcer
1. Decentralised Energy Production
2. Decentralised Materials Production
1. Decentralised Currencies
2. Decentralised Contracts
This video summarizes and explains these four pillars simply:
The four pillars of a decentralised society | Johann Gevers | TEDxZug
As you can see from that video, this is a completely new, refreshing, and empowering way to look at society.
This is a way that has the promise of solving a lot of our most pressing problems today, including environmental degradation, corrupt or unresponsive government, the Cabal control systems, the broken fiat monetary system, and more.
But how practical is all this?
Are there people already working on these solutions or is this a “pipe dream”?
There are many people already implementing these.
Here are a few examples:
The Blockchain Demystified | Daniel Gasteiger | TEDxLausanne
How the blockchain is changing money and business | Don Tapscott
Bitcoin and the Blockchain | Rick Falkvinge | TEDxBucharest
The future of money | David Birch | TEDxWoking
Bitcoin — distributing power & trust | Eric Spano | TEDxConcordia
Digital currencies like bitcoin are coming (and it s a good thing) Juan Llanos at TEDxMidAtlantic
The future will be decentralized | Charles Hoskinson | TEDxBermuda
In another example, 3D printing (decentralised production) has actually been around for 30 years, although it was previously restricted to big industries.
Lately, more and more individuals are using it at home. See this comprehensive guide on 3D printing.
What about politics and democracy – and the elusive True Republic?
Consider how politics works today: In most countries, when election year comes, the sheeple are given a choice of a few candidates to vote for. Only the candidates with huge financial backing from lobbyists, banking cartels and the military-industrial complex actually make it on the list of choices. The sheeple then choose one of them as their leader. Upon winning the election, this leader goes away and basically does whatever he or she wants – and what their financial backers want – for 4 or 5 years. During that time, the leader doesn’t ever consult the sheeple. They make speeches at the sheeple, but they don’t consult the sheeple. The sheeple complain that politicians are liars and corrupt. And then we repeat the cycle again after 4 or 5 years.
What if you, and everyone else, could get to vote on all major issues and get them implemented, anytime necessary, every time, without needing to hope that your politician listens to you?
Instead of voting in a politician once every 4 or 5 years, you instead vote on issues, whenever they occur, and your vote is actioned, guaranteed. That is Society 3.0.
In 3.0, democracy does not stop at the election level once every 4 years. It goes all the way to the level of issues, in real-time. Think of it like being able to have real-time referendums on all major issues, any time, all the time, daily, as society moves on.
True democratic participation at grassroots level, on all major issues.
The politicians no longer call the shots; the people do.
As an example, an Australian group recently used the blockchain, the same technology that powers the Bitcoin, to come up with a basic prototype of such a voting system…
This is just one way this could work. How would your society change if you had this capability to determine the course of events?
This technological approach, digitizing politics, also enables a True Republic.
Many people think Democracy = Freedom.
It does not. Democracy is not the same as Freedom.
Democracy is simply “majority rules”.
Just because you are free to vote in an election doesn’t mean you have freedom.
Democracy can actually kill freedom. For example, the majority can vote to outlaw something that a minority group require. And they often do.
Also, democracy doesn’t check for truth, it simply checks for numbers, a majority. But the majority could be mistaken, the minority could hold the truth.
And so in a Democracy, minority rights are often quashed and eliminated by the majority. And freedom dies for the minority in any particular issue.
Just because you are free to vote in an election doesn’t mean you have freedom.
And this is where a True Republic comes in.
A Republic is a system of governance based on a charter, instead of a majority vote. And the charter aims at guaranteeing the rights and freedoms of the minority, even as it provides governance for the whole society.
In a True Republic, the majority cannot vote to outlaw the minority except in matters of shared resources. For example, if the minority wishes to cut down trees, a majority vote can outlaw that. But if a minority wishes to be homosexual, the majority has no say in that.
The original US Declaration of Independence and Constitution were designed in the spirit of a True Republic, designed to protect the rights of the individual, even if they were a minority of one person only, against even the government itself. Only later did that original vision become marginalized.
Democracy was meant as a mechanism to allow the people to participate in the governance of a True Republic that guarantees True Freedom for all, including the Individual minority. Democracy itself is not the end game. It is simply a tool, if used within a larger framework of True Freedom.
Digitizing politics using the blockchain allows us to put the power back in the hands of the individuals rather than the politicians, and it is one way to enable a True Republic.
And here is a list of some of the other leading blockchain innovators that have built practical applications including decentralised currencies, contracts, cryptography, government and law:
And so, as you can see, this is not a theoretical technology. It is in it’s infancy, but it has began. And with your support, it can grow fast.
Fast Forward This Into The Future, What Does Earth’s Future Look Like?
A very interesting question. If we start now with this, what kind of Earth will our children’s children live in?
It’s your planet.
You belong here. You are not a 2nd class serf. You are a Sovereign Being, in alliance with All of Earth. If you don’t like something, change it, Sovereign Beings. You are more powerful than you think you are.
Usher in the Golden Age, by following the Golden Rule: Do unto others what you would like done unto you. Love your neighbor, and love yourself.
Love always, yet stand up for Love.
Live, and let live. Meaning, do no harm, but take no crap.
Innovate your heart away.
Go for the establishment of a clean, abundant, compassionate Paradise on Earth for all humankind, for all life on Earth, a New Earth.
You are a Creator Being, a Sovereign Being. The time has come!
Who will stop the madness, if not you, World Citizen? And if not now, when?
What we need now is a Revolution of Consciousness.
