7 Best Journaling Habits To Completely Transform Your Life

Journaling promotes success since it expands consciousness, heals through therapeutic expression, captures moments of inspiration, enables biorhythm documentation, opens fresh perspectives upon reviews, welcomes receiving more through gratitude, and guides to the right path by checking on intuition.

#1 Expand your consciousness through insight

Keeping a journal is one of the most effective ways to:

  • Keep a record of your successes
  • Rapidly grow in all areas of your life
  • Discover hidden subconscious blockages
  • See how cause and effect works in your life

Your memory is selective.

This is because of the ego.

It will often pick only your moments of “failure.”

In times of crisis, it selects its own witnesses to support its case against you.

It also hides all other moments of success from your awareness.

It does this to convince you that you are less than what you truly are.

Having a written journal will ensure that:

  • You remember all of your successes.
  • You never feel like the helpless victim.
  • You are reminded of your power to change your life.
  • You never forget that all your experiences arise from within.

Your journal is your witness for you.

It is also your mirror.

Through it, you look back at your state of mind and activities for any given day and see how they relate.

#2 Heal through therapeutic expression

Heal through therapeutic expression

Journals are therapeutic, allowing you to express yourself privately and comfortably.

Through that expression, you have a way to:

  • Boost yourself
  • Inspire yourself
  • Release yourself

For a million and one reasons, keeping a journal is an extremely good idea, one that all success coaches advocate for.

There is only one rule:

Be honest with yourself!

That is all.

Everything else is up to you, how you do it, what you write, etc.

Of course, the more details you write in it, the more effective it is.

Just something is better than nothing, so even just a few lines will do.

#3 Capture moments of inspiration

Capture moments of inspiration

In your journal, make it a point to capture the following:

  • Throughout the day
  • During flashes of insight
  • Whenever you get a moment of inspiration
  • When there’s an emotion that you wish to resolve

Even just a few sentences will do.

The important thing is to document the highlights of the day, positive and negative.

At the end of the day, it would be a good idea to write something down about your whole day, whatever comes to mind.

Everything in your life counts and has meaning.

It is up to you to decide what level of detail you wish to maintain for your journal.

The more detail, the more useful it will be to you.

And in the future, you can look back to extract the gems of your life, so to speak.

There are many things that will become clear to you when you look back.

Some of these things you will miss right now.

So detail is good, but it is up to you.

You may want to consider documenting the following:

  • Love
  • Fears
  • Sleep
  • Power
  • Energy
  • Nutrition
  • Feelings
  • Exercise
  • Emotions
  • Happiness
  • Successes
  • Key events
  • Knowledge
  • Satisfaction
  • Water intake
  • Predominant thoughts

#4 Review journal entries for perspective

Review journal entries for perspective

Whenever you review your journal, you will be surprised at what you find there!

Sometimes you will wonder whether it was you who actually wrote some of that stuff.

You will sometimes be amazed at how capable you really are of amazing levels of success.

You will be surprised at the clear link between your state of being and mind and subsequent events.

You will be amazed at how some previously critical scares now, in retrospect, look ridiculously small!

In other words, reviewing a journal will give you a chance to re-experience your life from a new perspective.

Missing them the first time, you’ll also be able to extract an amazing array of new:

  • Joy
  • Growth
  • Lessons
  • Successes

It is amazingly powerful!

Review your journal this way:

  • Once a week for the past week
  • Once a month for the past month
  • Once a year for the previous year

In addition to this, you can do this whenever else you feel it.

As you review, you may wish to make some notes of the new findings you have made.

#5:  Hack your life by logging biorhythms

Hack your life by logging biorhythms

Just like all other life on this planet and in this universe, we human beings have biological rhythms.

These rhythms do not dictate what we do and think, but they do bear a good amount of influence.

So what exactly are biorhythms?

Let’s explore these ideas first.

Everything in life has a rhythm, a cycle it goes through such as:

  • Moods
  • Growth
  • The day
  • The planets
  • The oceans
  • Reproductive systems

Human beings, in particular, have many different cycles.

Various sciences will tell you what your various cycles are.

For example:

Astrology and numerology can tell you what your life lesson cycles are.

Biorhythms, on the other hand, tell you what your biological rhythms are.

It’s also calculated simply based on the day you were born.

Through numerous research, scientists have found the length of each cycle in days.

And so, it is easy to use that information to calculate exactly where you are on your cycle on any given date.

It is very important to keep in mind that biorhythms are indicators, not predictors!

I repeat: they do not predict what will occur.

They only indicate the level and phase of energy in a particular area of your life at a given time.

In fact, at certain times of the month, you will either be in the expressive or receptive phase intellectually and to certain degrees.

Now let us say, for example, that you are in the intellectually receptive phase.

That does not mean that you cannot express yourself when you are in a receptive phase.

It also does not mean that you will receive lots of insights even if you are blocking yourself from intuition.

All it says is that on that particular date, the energy will tend to effortlessly support intellectual reception such as learning, and so on.

Whether or not that is what you end up doing is your choice.

There are no hard and fast rules on how to use biorhythm information.

By keeping a journal and reviewing it weekly, you will start to see how it may relate to your life.

At that time, you will be able to draw your own conclusions and see how best to use this information for you.

Everybody is different.

In fact, some people will not even notice their biorhythms, while others will feel them very strongly.

Just play with it for a couple of weeks and see how you go.

You will be able to draw your own conclusions suitable for you.

#6 Receive more through gratitude journaling

Receive more through gratitude journaling

Gratitude sets you into a vibration of abundance!

Having this kind of attitude will do wonders for you.

You can express your gratitude to:

  • Your Self
  • All That Is
  • The Universe
  • Whatever you have

This will give you advantages such as:

  • Recognize your successes
  • Raise your vibration to one of abundance
  • Train your subconscious on what you like
  • Focus on what you like and thus attract more of it

You’ll be able to register your appreciation and, by that, you are brought more.

By being grateful for the future manifestation and the desire itself, you match your vibration with it and bring it in faster.

And so, every day, take time out to deliberately go through all that you like in your life.

Feel the gratitude in your heart.

That is how you register that higher vibration of abundance.

Also, there are three levels of creation: thought, word, and action.

Being grateful mentally is good.

However, actually verbalizing and writing it down is a lot more powerful.

This is because it grounds it to the physical plane.

Actually acting on that gratitude has even more impact.

If you wish to test this for yourself, commit to two weeks of daily gratitude on the level of feelings, thought, words, and action.

You will be amazed at the results!

#7 Steer your life on the right path through daily intuition checking

Steer your life on the right path through daily intuition checking

Every day, you should also take some time out.

Perhaps in the mornings and evenings, to quiet down and relax your body.

And then, listen to any intuition you may have regarding your goals.

Breathe naturally and deeply as you do this.

After that, focus on your heart space.

Then, ask yourself the following questions:

“What are my inner messages today?

“What can I do today that will get me closer to the manifestation of this desire?”

On some days you will get some new insights.

However, on other days there will be nothing to do (just relax!)

Remember, asking results in answers – that is how it works.
