- The real reasons judgment exists

I will blow your mind in this post so keep reading!
3 Most Shocking Truths On Judgment
Three unpopular facts regarding judgment include it only existing inside a person’s private thoughts, which means that there is no such thing as external opposition. It’s also not based on reality and stems from fear and self-denial.
Top 3 Unexpected Facts Regarding Judgment
Judgment isn’t really what it seems. Read on to find out where it truly comes from and how you can improve with the knowledge of this emotion!
#1 Judgment only exists in your private thoughts
The truth is no other judgment exists outside of your mind.
It is only your own judgments, solely existing in your private thoughts, that pain and suffering originate from.
Opposition is simply the manifestation of your inner being. As such, you are truly simply opposing no other person than yourself.
Then, you’ve projected this to others that includes:
- The Creator: You believe that you somehow deserved the judgment and that it was some sort of punishment from the Creator. This is impossible because you are an extension of Him/Her. You are loved unconditionally as you are!
- Other Humans & Conditions: You also assume that the problem lies with other people and events: the taxman, the unfriendly neighbor, bad business conditions, the nagging spouse, and so on. This idea is simply based on humanity’s collective consciousness. It is not reality.
Here’s another way of thinking about it.
You’ve probably met people who had the same exact experience yet viewed it in opposite ways.
Now, let me ask you why do they have different opinions?
As you may have guessed, it’s because they have varied interpretations of the same event.
One person may take things personally and project their insecurities regarding the situation.
Whereas, the other one does not believe this. They look at the circumstances for exactly what it is.
As you can see, an individual can create unnecessary hurt based on their perception.
#2 It’s not even based on reality
Whenever we judge, it always means we classify people and situations as good or bad.
We even say things like:
“Why do bad things happen to good people?”
“Why does God allow this bad guy to be wealthy?”
Here’s the reality:
The universe does not have some good/bad judgment system.
It is a simple interaction of cause and effect.
It does not judge. Things are simply what they are.
Moreover, when we judge something as good or bad, we fail to see the hidden gifts or negative consequences they bring.
The Taoists actually have a wonderful way of explaining this.
Let me share with you the story of the farmer and his runaway horse.
There was a farmer whose horse ran away.
His neighbor felt sorry for him and said, “I am sorry that such a bad thing happened to you.”
The farmer replied, “Don’t be, for who knows what is good or bad.”
Then the next day, the horse came back.
This time it brought with it a herd of wild horses that it had befriended.
And so, the neighbor turned to the farmer and exclaimed, “I congratulate you for your good fortune!”
The farmer responded again with, “Don’t, for who knows what is good or bad.”
On the day that followed, the farmer’s son tried to mount one of the wild horses and fell, breaking his leg.
Upon learning about it, the neighbor approached the farmer and said, “I am sorry that such a bad thing happened to you.”
Using the same remark, the farmer replied, “Don’t be. Who knows what is good or bad?”
Soldiers came by the day after to forcefully recruit for the army.
Since the farmer’s son had a broken leg, he was exempted.
Now this is just a simple story.
However, it demonstrates the miracles that creation works, in the most unpredictable and seemingly unconnected ways, so that all things work out to perfection.
That’s why I am urging you to stop judging or accepting judgment.
Not only will you fail to recognize the reality of the universe – being governed by the law of cause and effect, you’ll also block yourself from seeing benefits and drawbacks.
#3 Judgment comes from fear & self-denial
Just like most people, you probably assume that, when people judge you, it’s personal.
How can it not be, right?
If someone criticizes you, then you must be the one to blame.
You assume that you deserve the jugdment.
Well, let me tell you that this is completely false.
Remember in the first item on this list, when I explained that judgment only comes from our private thoughts?
The same thing applies to this.
There are two major emotions that play a role here:
Let’s start with fear.
You’re probably wondering how this relates to judgment.
When you meet someone with their own issues and private mental model of how the universe should be, they look at you and notice that a part of you doesn’t fit their ideals.
This sparks their insecurities.
They feel the need to judge you.
This is because of their desire to get rid of their own fears.
They then angrily turn on you and say that a part of you should not exist!
I want you to understand just how ridiculous this is.
I’ll give you an example.
Let’s say there’s a child who’s trying something for the first time.
They’re innocently experimenting, with no past experience to even get a hint of what the outcome might be.
This is all completely natural and normal.
It’s not good or bad. It’s just what it is.
Then, here comes an adult who has their own fears, insecurities, and private thoughts about what should be.
They scream at the child and tell them that they’re bad.
Now, let’s go a little deeper as we discuss the second reason why people judge: self-denial.
This is connected to the first one which is fear.
Going back to the example, why does the adult react to the child this way?
It’s like this:
They judge not because of others but because they are seeing a part of themself that they have rejected.
Behind judgment is fear and underneath it is a denied part of the self.
That’s why so many people who seem to hate others are secrely like that themselves.
So, aside from the root causes, what other lessons can we learn here?
There are two:
- Don’t Accept The Judgment Of Others: You are alive in the universe as you are, a unique expression of life. Never let other people’s private thoughts result to toxic emotions like self-hatred. This will affect other areas of your life and dim your light – which can be the very reason you’re here on this earth!
- Embrace Your Rejected Parts: Everybody judges. And so, whenever you feel the need to do it, ask yourself what quality this person has that might be present in you. Keep an open mind and learn to love this part of yourself. You’ll notice that as you do, you will be more tolerant and accepting of others!
